There is limited vehicular access to the site but parking is available at St Leonard's Church. To maintain the integrity of the natural site only bio-degradable coffins or shrouds may be used and no metal or man-made substances are permitted. Floral tributes are not allowed on the grave but one hand-tied posy with bio-degradable trims is permitted at the time of burial for a period of seven days, after which time it will be removed. Markers will be set into the ground, below the grass, bearing the details of the deceased.

Grass cutting will be restricted to two cuts each year. Only grass paths constructed in the area will be cut at regular intervals. No horticultural chemicals will be used.

The scattering of cremated remains is not allowed but

ashes may be buried provided they are in a bio-

degradable container.

Native trees, shrubs, wild flower seeds and bulbs will be planted by the Parish Council but you are also  welcome to plant your own wild flowers and bulbs. Planting of specific trees on individual graves is not permitted

Sensible footwear is essential as this is a natural burial ground.

There is a restriction on the maximum number of burials each year but plots can be reserved subject to certain conditions. Please contact us for current information.
